The last week of October 2015 our colleagues Freek Huthoff en Susanne Groot delivered a training at the Instituto Superior Politecnico de Gaza (ISPG) in Chokwe, Mozambique. They introduced teachers, students and local water authorities in modern flood forecasting and management techniques. ISPG is located close to the Limpopo river, where in 2013 as well as in 2000 flood with extreme consequences occurred. The cooperation aims at sharing knowledge on flood hazards and on how to prepare for floods with minimal means. See here for a news item in the Mozambican newspaper Noticias.
